Species of Wolves: For those of you who do not know, there are many different species and breeds of wolves. Some of the most common species of wolf are the Gray wolf, Mexican wolf, and Arctic Wolf. A couple of these species of wolves can often change color during different seasons to suit their environment and help them with their hunting. As shown in the chart (see link below), some of the wolves are stockier than the others and better built for climbing mountains rather than deserts. Species of Wolves Chart (©2011-2013 ~HDevers)

Introduction
Hello everybody and welcome to my blog. My name is Haley Steffen and I am currently a future field biologist / scientific writer at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. For my 3rd year, I am going to start writing a blog focusing on everything wolf related so I can educate others about the animals. I have a passion for poetry, music, story writing, photography, and everything nature related.
Why did I choose wolves? I chose to study wolves because I feel that they are majestic and beautiful creatures that resemble loyalty, freedom, and family. So many people only see them as heartless hunters that kill for pleasure, so I want to show people that they are more than meets the eye. Their numbers have been falling so quickly and I want to try to help stabilize them before they disappear forever.
What am I trying to accomplish? With my blog, I not only want to educate people on wolves and share photographs, I want people to have a newly found respect for them. Even if I reach just one person, I feel that I have accomplished the purpose of this blog. I would also like to try and get readers to sign various petitions against the killing of wolves.
Questions/Comments: If you have any questions or comments on my blog, please feel free to send me a private message or comment on the page. All that I ask is that you please do not post hateful messages on my blog. You are free to voice your opinion, but please be professional about it and keep swearing to a minimum. We are professional here, so please respect that. Thank you for reading my blog!
